Life is not exactly a bed of roses. You can see for yourself in Hobo World, a life simulator game that is very entertaining but also a bit of a fantasy: it is based on the false idea that one can progress in life through hard work no matter one's socioeconomic background (Marx has something to say about this, but we will leave that for another day).

Hobo World 2.18 From homeless to President

In Hobo World, players step into the shoes of a homeless person who lives on the streets. Your mission is to make him evolve to a higher standard of living than his current one (which is not too hard). It is an idle game where players complete different tasks to unlock new milestones and face the difficulties inherent to the type of job you have engaged in.

You have to help your character to leave poverty behind. To do that, you have to improve in different aspects (work, housing, social relations, hobbies, etc.), maintaining a good state of mind and health. These are the game's main features:

Incremental idle game: complete tasks to unlock more tasks.

Fight for your life and stay healthy.

Progress: get better housing, food, work, etc.

Reinforce your social image and gain influence: become the next President.

However, this game is to be taken with a pinch of salt: there is a lot of deadpan humor and jokes. Even Marx would probably give it a try.
