#BIDI 9.1.0 Review
#BIDI 9.1.0 Introduction
QR codes were meant to be an invention that was supposed to revolutionize the world but in the end weren't too successful. Nowadays, hardly anyone uses them but at least the infrastructure they implemented has helped to lay the foundations for the functions that BIDI now offers us.
Scan any QR code or the barcode of any product to discover additional information or interact with a brand or other users.
BIDI 9.1.0 How does it work?
This tool incorporates a camera function that we won't use to take photos but to scan barcodes or QR codes. You've only got to point your device's camera towards the code and the app will provide you with all the information available. For instance, if you're at a bus stop with a BIDI code (and the link actually works), the QR code will give your the approximate location of your transport, how long it's going to take, its route...
But the most popular function of this app is as a barcode reader. Just scan a barcode and this app will give you info such as the following:
The information that the brand offers about this product (ingredients, nutritional information, useful data, contact...).
Opinions and remarks of other consumers (you can also write your own comments).
Marketing details.
Discounts if there were any available.
And you can obviously share all these interesting details with your friends or through social networks. Furthermore, save your favorite scans, download discounts and create a profile to keep a log for all your searches.
You can save your scans in the Favorites section to be able to access them whenever you want.
BIDI 9.1.0 The difference between BIDI and QR
BIDI codes were created by Movistar back in 2008 to carry out interactive campaigns but they were based on a closed protocol and we had to pay for the application that could read them. QR codes (Quick Response) were created in Japan as a response to BIDI. They could be created, saved in vector format and read them totally for free, as they were open source. The main aesthetic difference regarding the former are the three squares located in their corners that allowed the reader to detect the location of the code. Nowadays, nobody is surprised that QRs defeated BIDIs without any effort whatsoever.
